Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Pre-Health Conference?
It’s a full‑day event divided into two segments, a fair and an interactive session, designed for students exploring, preparing for, and applying to health professional careers. Student attendees have the opportunity to hear and learn from admissions representatives, health professionals, and current students while connecting with peers who share similar goals.
What should I bring?
- Your Student ID
- Water bottle
- Questions for speakers or admissions reps
- Notebook or tablet for taking notes if you are attending sessions
What should I wear?
Business casual is recommended. You don't need a suit, but aim for neat, professional, and comfortable. You can find a description of business casual attire on The Career Center's Dress for Success page.
Do I need to sign up for sessions ahead of time?
Some workshop sessions require preregistration, especially those with limited seating (e.g. mock interviews, personal statement reviews). The fair portion and most general sessions are open to all.
Do I need to stay the whole day?
No. The conference includes a fair with exhibitors, followed by concurrent sessions. Students are welcome to attend any portion of the fair, and then return to participate in the sessions they have registered for later in the afternoon. If you forgot to preregister, please stop by the designated session room on the day of the event to ask a Pre-Health ambassador about available space.
